I understand that sending your child to school for the first time can be nerve racking for you and your child. I would like to help calm your fears. I truly enjoy my job and therefore I attempt to give 100% everyday.  I love teaching kindergarten!  I understand that my role is to provide an outstanding learning opportunity for your child but it's also to help parent transition into school. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I check my voicemail and email daily.

General Information:
Make sure that any time that you come into the school you stop by the office and sign in. You will need to get a visitor pass and wear it at all time while in the building.

If you are in the building to eat lunch with your child, or are volunteering for the classroom please know that I will not be able to discuss your child’s progress.  I know that you are eager to know how your child is doing in class.  We can set up a parent teacher conference if you need to discuss something with me.  I cannot stop teaching (or eating my lunch) to discuss your child’s progress. We will have a parent teacher conference in November to discuss your child’s progress.  Also if you have a specific question about your child’s progress ask me in the communication folder or email me.

The PTO is a great way for you to be involved in your child’s school.  The PTO meets one time per month.

You may come to school and eat lunch with your child.  Sign in at the office and then wait there until the class comes down the hall.  Then you may join us in line with your child.  Some children get very upset when parents leave after lunch, if this is a problem I will probably ask you to wait a while before eating with your child again.  It is best to say goodbye to your child in the gym after lunch.  It is usually a bad idea to have parents come all the way back to the classroom.  Sometimes the children do not want to say goodbye and it causes the entire class to have to wait until the situation is resolved.  If you say goodbye in the gym, by the time the children get to class they are usually fine and ready to continue with the day.
